Live Streaming QualityLive Streaming is affected by different variables, including, but not limited to: source video quality, user's ISP malfunctions, user's internet speed, user's pc performance. Technical DifficultiesMEDIASPORTS does not guarantee the absence of technical difficulties during transmissions although MEDIASPORTS utilizes the highest streaming technology and has unlimited user capacity and bandwidth. Transmission RatesMEDIASPORTS Live Streaming is transmitted at rates starting from 300 kbps and up. MEDIASPORTS recommends connections of 512k or higher. Lower speed connections will not deliver an acceptable streaming experience. Verify your download connection speed at www.speedtest.net. Player and Plug-insUser must have the latest version of Windows Media Player installed on their PC or mobile device in order to enjoy the stream. Streaming Interruptions, Buffering, Freeze or Choppy ImageIf for any reason streamed is interrupted or constant buffering is experienced, press F5 to refresh the page, or restart your web browser. You are probably experiencing network congestion, meaning there is not enough available bandwidth to stream the selected file. Windows Media Player will attempt to "store up" frames of video to insure a smooth playback/viewing experience. Lots of "buffering" coupled with the video stopping and starting usually indicates that you have a slow connection to the Internet. This is most likely due to the speed at which data is reaching your computer over the Internet. Content served by MediaSports is created for specific bandwidth ranges. If the Internet traffic is heavy or your connection is lower than the rate speed, the server will start to drop frames. A faster connection will generally mean better video. Make sure your connection speed is of 512k or higher. Lower connections speeds will not deliver a stable transmission. Full Screen and Zoom OptionsIf you choose to zoom the stream, watch it on full screen (double click on the video), on an external monitor or TV, be advised that a viewing distance of 8-10 feet is recommended since the images tend to suffer a little distortion when zoomed over their maximum capacity. Thus viewing the transmission at close range will affect streaming experience. Streaming video is not HDTV, don't expect the same quality. MediaSports not the Producer of the Streamed EventMEDIASPORTS is not responsible for any commentary, opinion, or commercial offer during the stream. MEDIASPORTS is an internet re-transmitter of an event and in most cases is not the producer of the event itself. Any claim or complaint regarding the TV transmission or the event itself shall be directed to the event organizers or producers. In cases MediaSports is the producer of the streamed event, such disclosure will be divulged to all users. You Click on the Video Box, and Nothing HappensMake sure that your Internet connection is working. Go to a site like www.yahoo.com or www.cnn.com, it's very rare that these sites are not working. Once you've established that your Internet connection is working, make sure you have downloaded and installed the latest version of Windows Media Player, and the plug-ins of the browser you are using. You may need to re-install the Windows Media Player and restart your PC or browser. (See Player and Plug-ins Section). Also, make sure that you have the latest version of your Web Browsers installed. Newer browser versions tend to update technologies like streaming capabilities, making older versions useless at times for these purposes. In some cases, congestion could cause the player to time out; keep trying, or try again later when the network is less congested. It can be likely that you are behind a firewall that has not had the appropriate ports opened for use with video or if you are connecting through a LAN, the administrator may have blocked video. I can hear something, but I'm not seeing videoThis is usually caused by one of two things - either your connection to the Internet is too slow to view this particular video or the video has been incorrectly encoded. Windows Media includes a quality audio track as the "lowest common denominator" in all its streaming video files. If your connection to the Internet OR to that particular server is very slow all you may be able to do is hear audio. However, MediaSports uses the latest encoding technology and the best streaming servers available. If you have audio but no video, check your connection speed, or contact your ISP for specific info regarding the speed connection and streaming capabilities. Spots and/or random flashes of pink or greenThis problem is usually associated with certain video card drivers that have difficulty with some direct draw features that the Windows Media Player utilizes. Try updating the drivers for your video card. Error MessageIf you get an error like "unable to establish a connection with the server" it could mean that there is high network traffic, the site hosting the file is down, or the file being streamed has been moved. If you see such an error, please report it to MediaSports from the "Contact Us" section of the website. In the body of the message, include the URL for the page where you found the error message and the text of such error.
